Whether you're a skilled player looking to take your game to the next level or you've always wondered if you would enjoy the game, Eric MacCluen Golf has programs for every skill level. Eric MacCluen Golf offers various fun and affordable programs to all ages, including Adult and Junior Clinics, Half Day Schools, Short Game Schools, Fall Youth League, Summer Camps, as well as Lil Golfers programs for those as young as four years old. The talented and passionate EMG instructors will show you how to strengthen and refine your swing and will share with you many techniques to practice in your own home to ultimately lower your scores. Also, don't let your game go when inclement weather moves in as our staff will continue to work with students at our indoor learning center in order to keep their skills sharp year round. Applecross Country Club

Junior Golf Clinics

Member Fee: $25/Class or $85/Four week session                     Non-Member: $30/Class or $105/Four week session

This program is designed for juniors ages 7 & up with beginner to intermediate skills. EMG instructors will group juniors according to age and ability. Students will have the opportunity to work with teaching professionals in a safe, supportive, and fun environment. Students will learn and reinforce the fundamentals of golf including grip, posture, and full swing. Students will also learn the basic principles of putting , chipping, and pitching and begin to understand rules, course etiquette, short game, shot making, and scoring. This class is a great way to learn a life skill while having fun and making new friends. We highly encourage girls to participate in all of our programs!

You will learn:

  • Pitching
  • Putting
  • On-Course Etiquette
  • Basic Golf Rules

Instruction will also cover: golf terminology and lingo, proper golf attire, equipment, shoes and accessories, golf course maintenance (how to fix divots and ball marks), understand course signage, where to tee up the ball, how to spot balls, how to make a tee time, tend the flag, mark your ball, how to play a scramble, and how to keep score!

Choose a Day and Time:

  • Monday at 6:00pm, Ages 7-10
  • Wednesday at 6:00pm, Ages 11 & up
  • Thursday at 6:00pm, Ages 7 & up
  • Saturday at 3:00pm, Ages 7 & up
 
Proper golf attire is a must! Boys must have a collared shirt tucked in. No jeans, gym or cargo shorts are allowed on the course or practice facility.

Lil Golfers Clinics

Member Fee: $20/Class or $70/Four week session                     Non-Member: $25/Class or $90/Four week session

This program is designed to teach fundamentals in a fun, safe and interactive way to Lil golfers ages 4-6. Skills such as setup, full swing, chipping and putting prepare children for playing on the course. Improving a child's confidence and self-esteem through positive reinforcement makes learning easier and more enjoyable. Parental involvement in each class is mandatory, as you will learn how to work on golf skills with your child at home and at the driving range. Our goal together will be to build sound fundamental skills with a positive attitude. We highly encourage girls to participate in all of our programs!

Lil Golfers Camp             $210/Week*

Lil Golfers Summer Camp focuses on fundamentals including full swing, woods, putting and chipping. Basic rules and etiquette will also be covered. For two hours each day we combine practice with interactive activities so the Lil golfers enjoy golf and see it as a life time sport. Each student will be given information to help improve their skills.

  • Monday ~ Friday, 9:15am to 11:45am
  • 12.5 hours of Instruction
  • Daily activities will consist of a variety of golf games and instruction.

Full day camps combine both instruction and on course skills training. The camp is designed to improve junior golfers of all skill levels. At least three hours each day will be spent on instruction which will cover all aspects of the golf game; full swing, woods, putting and chipping. Each student will spend time on the course with an instructor learning various aspects of the game of Golf, including: rules, etiquette, strategy, and course management.

  • Monday ~ Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm
  • Up to 30 hours of instruction
  • Refreshments/ Lunch are available at the course Half-Way House (snacks/ lunch are not provided due to dietary restrictions)
  • Gift Pack
  • Daily activities may consist of a variety of golf games, golf instruction, on course time (when available), video analysis, movies during break, and instructor monitored free swim (weather permitting)

Proper golf attire is a must! Boys must have a collared shirt tucked in. No jeans, gym or cargo shorts are allowed on the course or practice facility.

 

Half Day Camp                 $290/Week*

*Discounted Half Day camp rates apply to Applecross Country Club Members. However, discounts DO NOT apply to siblings & alumni campers when participating in our Half Day Camp! ~ please see pricing below.

Half day camps focus on fundamentals including full swing, woods, putting and chipping. Basic rules and etiquette will also be covered. For three hours each day we combine practice with interactive activities so the juniors enjoy golf and see it as a life time sport. Each student will be given information to help improve their skills.

Refund Policy: There are no refunds once the first class of a program begins. If you wish to receive a refund prior to the start of a program your request must be received in writing 48 hours prior to the start date via e-mail (below) or regular mail to Applecross Golf Academy, 170A Zynn Road, Downingtown, PA 19335.

Return Check Policy: A $25 Returned Check Fee will be charged for all checks returned unpaid by the bank. Original payment amount will be due immediately along with the additional returned check fee. No exceptions!

Make-up Policy: We ask that you make every effort to attend scheduled classes. Lessons are a building process and consistency does make a difference with your progress. If, however, you are unable to attend a class due to unforeseen circumstances please notify your instructor via phone and/ or e-mail to find another class day/ time during that same session to attend. We will make every effort to complete missed classes in a reasonable time frame for both parties. Please be advised that instructors are not required to schedule private time to make up a group class. There are certain programs that we will not allow make-up classes due to the type of program and we will note - Please, no make-ups!
