Full Day Camp

Full day camps combine both instruction and on course skills training guided by our talented PGA Teaching staff. The camp is designed to improve junior golfers of all skill levels as we combine practice with a variety of interactive activities each day. Up to five hours each day will be spent on instruction covering all fundamental aspects of the golf game; full swing, woods, putting and chipping. Students will also spend time on the course each week with an instructor learning various other components to the game of Golf, including: rules, etiquette, strategy, and course management.
- Monday ~ Friday, 9:00am to 4:00pm
- Approximately 25 hours of Instruction
- Refreshments/ Lunch are available at the course Half-Way House (snacks and lunch are not provided)
- Gift Pack
- Daily activities may consist of a variety of golf games, golf instruction, video analysis, on course time (when available), movies during break, and instructor monitored free swim (weather permitting)
Half Day Camp
$290/Week*

Half day camps focus on fundamentals including full swing, woods, putting and chipping. Basic rules and etiquette will also be covered. For up to three hours each day we combine practice with interactive activities so the juniors enjoy golf and see it as a life time sport. Each student will be given information to help improve their skills. (The Golf course may be closed on a Monday or Tuesday and most often available to campers in the afternoons)

Applecross Country Club is a private golf club and therefore, proper golf attire is required! Boys must have a collared shirt tucked in.
Please, absolutely NO T-shirts, tank tops, jeans, cargo or gym shorts/pants are permitted on the course or practice facility!

2013 Extended Care Options

Before Camp Care
$8/Day or $35/Week
Full day and Half day campers may be dropped off at the Learning Center up to one hour prior to the start of camp. Campers can spend a little extra time in the morning at the Learning Center putting on the green around the building, hitting shots out of the bunker, or hitting a few balls on their own during this hour.
- Monday ~ Friday, 8:00am to 9:00am
- 1 hour of Supervised Practice Time around the Learning Center (no instruction)
After Camp Care
$9/Day or $40/Week
Full day campers will enjoy free time at the Pulte Welcome Center for up to one and a half hours after regular camp ends. They may bring their own electronic devices, play cards or board games, read a golf book, or just relax in the comfortable great room during this time.
- Monday ~ Friday, 4:00pm to 5:30pm
- 1 1/2 hours of Supervised Free Time at the
Pulte Welcome Center (no instruction)
Before & After Camp Care
$15/Day or $70/Week
Full day campers may be dropped off at the Learning Center up to one hour prior to the start of camp and picked up at the Pulte Welcome Center at the end of the day.

- 2 1/2 hours of Additional Camp Time each day

Lunch Time Add-On
$7/Day or $30/Week
Half day camp ends at 12:00pm, but perhaps you need just one more hour in the day to get a few more things done. Now your camper may stay for that extra hour and watch a movie while they eat lunch. Rated PG films will be shown.

- 1 hour of Lunch/Movie Time

Junior Golf Camps run each week of the summer. Final camp dates possibly affecting the first and last weeks on the schedule will be determined when school make up snow days are finalized and school calendars for Fall are posted.

During two weeks of the summer, we will include a special "Just for Girls" camp as an added part of our weekly golf camp schedule. Girls will have the opportunity to connect with other girls making golf more exciting and enjoyable in the process of learning the game.
"Just for Girls" Specialty Camp Weeks*: June 24~28 and July 8~12
Also, this year we will include a special "High School/College Prep" tune up camp. This 3-day camp will occur on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday only of the designated week. This specialty camp will offer juniors the opportunity to thoroughly prepare for high school and college tournament golf. More information on this specialty camp is located below.

Eric MacCluen Golf encourages Juniors to always sign up for a full week of summer camp so that your child may enjoy the total experience of our golf camps. The unpredictable summer weather, the availability of the many practice areas around the facility, and the varying course schedule determines daily activities so that each day offers a different opportunity to learn and get better.

Juniors must attend one full week of camp this season before we will accept registration for 1 ~ 4 days per week for Full or Half Day Camp.

Juniors must complete one full week of Full Day Camp at regular price during the 2013 season to qualify for the additional week(s) discount.

Discounts do not apply toward additional week(s) or siblings for Half Day Camp.

Eric MacCluen Golf kindly requests that you complete one registration form per child for each week of camp.

All registration forms must be received and paid in full by Thursday 12 noon (3 days) prior to the week attending in an effort to provide adequate staff for the week.

All registration forms submitted after that time will be assessed a $25 late registration fee for the week or charged the drop in rate for each full or half day.

Please submit registration forms with payment in person to the golf shop or by mail to: Applecross Country Club, Attn: Eric MacCluen Golf, 170A Zynn Road, Downingtown, PA 19335. Payment must accompany registration form or you will not be enrolled in Junior Golf Camp.

Please make checks payable to: Applecross Country Club and include the child's name as well as the week or day(s) attending on the check.

Drop-ins must have all forms completed and payment ready to hand in at drop-off in the morning so camp is not delayed. Drop-ins may be denied if space is not available.

3-Day Specialty Camp
$375/Three Days*

No other discounts apply when participating in this High School / College Prep Specialty Camp! ~ please see pricing and registration forms above.
The High School / College Prep camp is an intensive three-day camp designed to give the higher-level junior golfer an opportunity to develop their game in preparation for High School, Collegiate, and tournament golf. Learning sessions will include course management and mapping, mental training, fitness education, nutritional habits, video analysis, on-course playing time, and college recruiting information. Players will spend one-on-one time with our experienced PGA Teaching Staff. Upon completion of camp, each camper will be provided with recommended drills, summaries of various discussion topics, and the outline of a plan for self-improvement. Space is very limited for this camp.

1. Golf course management: how to form a game plan that stands up to pressure.
2. Identifying strengths and weaknesses and how to keep your own statistics.
3. Golf Fitness: the golfer as an athlete.
4. Pre-tournament and on-course nutrition.
5. Short Game: a comprehensive review and instruction on chipping, pitching, and bunker play.
6. Putting sessions including pre-putt routines, stroke analysis, and green reading.
7. The Mental Game: tournament preparation, pre-shot routines, finding your "comfort zone", and performing under pressure.
8. College recruiting: creating a golf and academic resume, contacting coaches, and setting goals to make yourself attractive to college programs.
9. Time management: how to balance athletics and academics and prepare yourself for life on a college campus.
