Whether you're a skilled player looking to take your game to the next level or you've always wondered if you would enjoy the game, Eric MacCluen Golf has programs for every skill level. Eric MacCluen Golf offers various fun and affordable programs to all ages, including Adult and Junior Clinics, Half Day Schools, Short Game Schools, Fall Youth League, Summer Camps, as well as Lil Golfers programs for those as young as four years old. The talented and passionate EMG instructors will show you how to strengthen and refine your swing and will share with you many techniques to practice in your own home to ultimately lower your scores. Also, don't let your game go when inclement weather moves in as our staff will continue to work with students at our indoor learning center in order to keep their skills sharp year round. 2011 Adult Half Day Schools

Applecross Country Club
April 21st thru October 8th

Adult Half Day Schools                $195/Member, $240/Non-Member

Our most popular golf school offers both small group instruction (4:1)  for 2.5 hours and an additional 1 hour of on-course coaching on all aspects of the game. This school is designed for the student interested in lowering their scores through concentrated effort on the full swing as well as the short game.

Half day schools focus on fundamentals including full swing, woods, irons and wedges. Each student will be given information to help improve their skills.

After lunch your instructor will accompany you out on the course for a few holes of live situational practice. This on-course segment is a great opportunity for our staff to watch you perform under real course situations. The focus can vary from aiming to strategy to side hill lies. But you can rest assure that you will leave this program with personally targeted strategies which will help you lower your scores.

If at the conclusion of your school you would like to continue playing to experience the rest of the course, a round is available for an additional $65. It's a great way to spend the day. Bring a group or just yourself.

  • 9:00am ~ 11:30am, Group Instruction
  • 11:30am ~ 12:15pm, Lunch (included in price)
  • 12:15pm ~ 1:15pm, On-course Instruction

*Additional short game schools will be scheduled in the summer upon the completion of the 19th hole wedge area in June of 2011. This area will allow you to fine tune your skills from 100 yards in as well as putting, bunker shots, pitching, chipping, and lobs. Short game swing fundamentals and appropriate shot selection are emphasized including strategy around the greens and analysis of the putting stroke.

Women's Beginner Golf Clinic

Member Fee: $20/Class or $90/Five week session                     Non-Member: $25/Class or $115/Five week session

This program is designed to be your first step toward playing golf.

You will learn:

  • Full Swing
  • Chipping
  • Pitching
  • Putting
  • On-Course Etiquette
  • Basic Golf Rules

Instruction will also cover: golf terminology and lingo, proper golf attire, equipment, shoes and accessories, golf course maintenance (how to fix divots and ball marks, understand course signage), where to tee up the ball, how to spot balls, where to drive the cart, how to make a tee time, tend the flag, mark your ball, how to play a scramble, and how to keep score!

Full Swing & Short Game Clinic for Men & Women

This clinic is for the beginner and experienced golfer who wants to get more detailed information about the Full swing and Short game. We will show you the most effective ways to lower scores by confidently and consistently hitting approach shots onto the greens. Our short game sessions will give you easy, consistent techniques to get the ball closer to the hole so you can have more fun playing than ever before. You will also discover shot visualization and learn to make club selection decisions. Recommended for all skill levels.

Refund Policy: There are no refunds once the first class of a program begins. If you wish to receive a refund prior to the start of a program your request must be received in writing 48 hours prior to the start date via e-mail (below) or regular mail at 3203 Hamilton Lane, Garnet Valley, PA 19060.

Return Check Policy: A $25 Returned Check Fee will be charged for all checks returned unpaid by the bank. Original payment amount will be due immediately along with the additional returned check fee. No exceptions!

Make-up Policy: We ask that you make every effort to attend scheduled classes. Lessons are a building process and consistency does make a difference with your progress. If, however, you are unable to attend a class due to unforeseen circumstances please notify your instructor via phone and/ or e-mail to find another class day/ time during that same session to attend. We will make every effort to complete missed classes in a reasonable time frame for both parties. Please be advised that instructors are not required to schedule private time to make up a group class. There are certain programs that we will not allow make-up classes due to the type of program and we will note - Please, no make-ups!
